What did you do for fitness before CrossFit? Did you play any sports growing up?

I used to do a lot of aerobic exercises including bike riding(250 miles a week), and elliptical. There was very little weight training. In college I was the drum major of the band at the University of Illinois which required to be in good shape. At that time, I did a lot of running.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit?

When I moved to Naples in 2014, I was eating supper at Zookies Bar in North Naples. Next to the bar was The North Naples CrossFit Box and it looked very interesting.  After talking with them, I joined.

What was your first workout and how did it go? How did you feel after?

After the workout, I was sprawled out on the floor from exhaustion. I thought everyone must be laughing at me until I realized everyone else in the class was doing the same. Afterwards, I felt a high level of accomplishment, a felling I still get after each WOD

Favorite CF Movements:

he first time I power cleaned 100 pounds.
