 What did you do for fitness before CrossFit? Did you play any sports growing up? I played sports my entire life. I played lacrosse in middle school and high school and one year in college.

What did you do for fitness before CrossFit? Did you play any sports growing up? Track/Running, weight lifting, cheerleading (yeap I consider it a sport,) dance.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? A friend, told me about a family member doing it. I had never heard of it and decided to look into it when I moved to Naples. I couldn’t be more happy I did!

Favorite CF Movements: Rope climb/leg free, handstands/parallette handstands.

What did you do for fitness before CrossFit? Did you play any sports growing up?
I’ve always loved being physically active! Growing up I was very limited in the sports I was allowed to play since I was born with asthma, so I played softball and danced. I love snowboarding and take a trip every year to do it out west. I also taught Zumba for 2 years from 2010-2012.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? I was looking for a boot camp class online and came across cross fit. It looked right up my alley so I scheduled my intro.

What was your first workout and how did it go? How did you feel after? I don’t remember exactly what we did in my 1st class, but it was very challenging and I was hooked! I felt worn out and happy that I found CrossFit.   Continue reading…

What did you do for fitness before CrossFit? Did you play any sports growing up? I have played tennis since I was 4. I love playing any type of hockey. I took up kickboxing a few years ago.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Cassie & Kirk Kreifles! I signed up for bootcamp and have been in love with CrossFit since then.

What was your first workout and how did it go?  How did you feel after? I came to a community WOD with Cassie.  I really don’t remember the movements but I do remember gasping for air afterwards.

Favorite CF Movements: Rowing, dead lifts, prowler push, thrusters

Least Favorite Movements: push ups, pull ups, attempting double unders

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? My neighbor

What was your first workout and how did it go? How did you feel after?  Benchmark & I felt way better than expected, a little sore.

Favorite CF Movements: Rowing & Bench Pressing

Least Favorite Movements: Pullups, I need to build up strength

Favorite Cheat Meal: Cheese or potato chips 🙁

Favorite Paleo Meal: Any green salad, avocados, nuts, fruit & meat, roasted root veggies & lots of garlic.

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?  As a child I had polio from ages 2-5 & I wore a brace on my right leg.  It never stopped me from running or playing like the other children, I was extremely lucky.  However, after 2 foot and ankle surgeries 9 years ago some exercises limit me on performance.  I try to compensate in other ways.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)? In only 2 months I see my “waist roll” diminishing & thighs getting stronger.

What sort of unexpected changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit? Meeting great new supportive people all with the same purpose.  We come in all ages, shapes & sizes all here for a common goal, to stay fit!

Any advice for people just getting started or new to CrossFit? It’s the best, stick with it.  Don’t give up!

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit? I love to cook swim & read.  My Bouvier des Flandres, Issy, is my best friend!
